Wayne opened his first business, Florist, Designs by Wayne, at the age of 24 in 1982. After years of providing floral services to his community, he realized that the "traditional" walk-in florist was going to be a thing of the past and redirected his business philosophy to focus mainly on event work, changing the company’s name to In Bloom Again. Today In Bloom Again specializes floral services for weddings, corporate events, galas, mitzvahs, hotel services and of course Derby in Louisville, KY and surrounding communities!

Wayne has won several design awards, including Kentucky State Designer of the Year, The Kentucky Cup, Mid America Designer of the Year, and Southern Region Designer of the Year. In 2015 he placed second in the National Sylvia Cup Design Competition. Wayne has served on the Kentucky Florists Association Board of Directors for over 30 years holding many offices, including two terms as Association President. In 1990 he was inducted into the associations Hall of Fame. In 2003 he was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Design.
